new girl

Post by stolenwine » Tue Jul 30, 2013 22:16

i'm only starting this thread because:

SPOILER

i don't like the jess/nick thing anymore. i used to think they were made for each other but nick has got SO annoying the last couple of episodes. jess deserves a better guy!

(i bet nobody will reply to this because i know everyone hates new girl but i don't care. IT'S GREAT. apart from the new nick/jess thing)

hayley watches it, as a consequence I've seen probably almost all of them... it can be very funny but the three blokes are kind of wack and sometimes (most episodes) gooey beschamel is a bit cloying... hayley loves it though

yeah, winston is my favourite! i also think jess and winston would be cute/funny together. nick's just like a total grouchy old man but not in an endearing way.

I also watch New Girl (and Mindy Project, although have missed it for a few weeks now). Most programmes hint at romances like the Jess/Nick storyline, but never actually do it and I guess this is proof that they never should!

How great is Jess' wardrobe on it? I think the first series was a better for clothes, where every episode I pretty much wanted everything (then found out it was Marc Jacobs or Kate Spade, so gave up). Actually, I think the second series hasn't been as good as the first generally, but there's still some laughs to be had.
Just be nice to me.

i feel a bit shallow admitting this, but at first i only stuck around watching it for the clothes/hair and makeup and for ceecee's fringe. (if someone calls me a bad feminist for that i just want to clarify now that i don't care. thanks)

but a few episodes in, it was really cute and funny and i liked all the characters (even nick. until now!) and it's just nice and kind of lighthearted viewing. i watch a lot of intense stuff and i need to balance things out!
