Aw, I wish I could heart/like a post! It is a great moment, isn't it?

Sometimes it's just a little glance or something, that makes everything so much more heartbreaking or sad (esp. with the grandparents and Lorelai) or sweet and moving.

I think it works. To be honest, I would've done it differently (which is easy to say) but I don't know... I think there's something to be said for most of the developments for the characters in the last season.

I like that Lorelai gets married and it isn't right. I think that's great. That she makes mistakes, that it's not a fairytale ending for everyone in that sense. It makes for more interesting television, that's for sure. And I think because they dangle Christopher as The One That Got Away almost, throughout the series, I find it is somehow great to have that "meet your idol" style moment of getting together, it being exciting, and then just... not much more.

I'm rewatching the show at the moment, and it's still very much relevant to my MA studies, so it's fun to watch and get new (academic) ideas.

it's not so much the plot that I had a problem with, but the lack of witty, snappy dialogue.

Aw, that's a shame. I can see that it is less snappy, but I still love it :)

I finally have the whole series on DVD, though strangely I keep watching them out of order.

Anyway, I just realized that there was another veteran of Twin Peaks (besides Sherilyn Fenn) in Gilmore Girls. Who knew Sherry was Madchen Amick, aka Shelly Johnson.

Anyway... i'm making a list of favorite moments as i'm watching them... I'll post soon.

I'm about to start rewatching it for like the sixth time in its entirety haha. My favourite seasons are one and two, despite not enjoying Max very much. My favourite eps I think are:
* Pilot
* Rory’s Birthday Parties
* Love and War and Snow
* Rory’s Dance
* Emily in Wonderland

Season two:

* Red Night on the Wedding Night
* The Bracebridge Dinner
* There’s The Rub
* I Can’t Get Started

Bracebridge Dinner's probably my favorite episode of the series.

OK, as promised. This is in no way meant to be complete... just a sort of jot down bits you liked kind of thing.

Favorite moments:
I love you, you idiot
Luke pushing Jess into the lake
Belle and Sebastian single (!) (Season 2, ep 14)
Rory's trip to NYC
Rory making nice with Dean over his wedding
Rory and Richard golfing
The hoopa
Lorelai adding dressing to a bag of lettuce and eating it
Lane's purple hair
Rory's HS graduation speech
The life and death brigade jump

Some favorite Gilmore-isms (sorry, these make no sense out of context):
if we were gazelles we would be the first ones eaten at the watering hole
(re: tomato and avacado) it was fraternizing with the enemy
R to L: your mouth has a nose?
Oi with the poddles already
(Richard and Dean) How tall ARE you? Why, you wanna dance?
(Luke to Jess) That's your room. Finish up. We'll skip and hold hands afterwards!
(Lorelai) fingerfood = snooty little balls of attitude
(This should be Rory's epitaph) 0 to studying in 60 seconds
(Rory, after spotting a picture of Kirk with split pants in the paper) I hope he never takes too close a look at his life. (as she's ripping out the picture) this is going on the fridge, right?

And last but not least, some favorite outfits/accessories (again, probably only for the afficionados)
Anything of Lorelai's in light blue chiffon
the newspaper veil
Rory's red coat and cream scarf combo
Lane's red top at the dance where she meets Henry
Rory's dress at the Bracebridge dinner
Sookie's outfit in a tisket a tasket (esp the scarf)
the bracelet Dean made Rory
Sherry's dress and boots combo at Rory's debate
Rory's cast (!)
Sookie's wedding dress
Lorelai went through a bit of a Miss Free Love (you know, flared sleeves) in early season 3. I totally loved all of that!
Paris's dress/sweater combo for her first date with Jamie
Season 4, ep1: Lorelai's blue shirt and Rory's dress (for the Friday night dinner)
Rory's dress in the Life and Death Brigade jump

Anyway... loads of gaps, but hopefully a few of those will make you smile :)
