For some (yet unknown) reason Theatricality and Funk switched air dates. So Funk was meant to be shown last week, and Theatricality (the Gaga episode) the week after that.

It's stupid for about 500 different reasons but one is that the continuity has been completely thrown as they've cut and added scenes (I'm assuming).

Funk was definitely so-so for me. Not a particularly good episode when Theatricality showed what they can do when they're amazing. The song choices felt poor, the Will/Sue storyline completely icky and weird, and a lot of it just rushed and odd.

Next week is the season finale! Ooooh, I am excited!

Well, it's Regionals! So that's definitely exciting... I honestly have no idea what to expect. I definitely know a bit too much of the stuff that's going to happen apart from that but I don't want to spoil it. It's super easy to google your way too though! The episode is called Journey (oh how funny they are) if you want to google. But be warned, there are some pretty big spoilers out there, I've avoided most of them but accidentally seen a few!

After next week's Glee there's a documentary about the real Glee clubs of America (I'm unreasonably excited about that, for some reason!)

Haha, me too! I saw the ad and immediately put it on the list to record on the DVR!

When the cast and producers of Glee were on Oprah, they surprised a real life Glee club with a big cheque, and it was hilarious. They were all like Rachel and Jesse x 10 000. I'm pretty sure I'd hate real life show choirs! I'm not good with showfaces.

so half of glee got nominated for emmys: lea michelle (rachel), jane lynch (sue sylvester), chris colfer (kurt), and mr. shu. would it be mean for me to say i don't think mr. shu deserves it? I'm not sure if it's a fault of the actor or the writers, but all the other characters are so deliciously over-the-top and he's just so... meh.

he tended to fade into blandness for a fair bit of the series (defo less interesting after he split from Mrs Shu) but i thought he was dead good in the Accafellas episode

I am absolutely thrilled with that both Chris Colfer who plays Kurt Hummel, AND Mike O'Malley who plays his father, Burt Hummel, have been nominated for Emmys.

The Kurt/Burt relationship (and yes, of course the writers gave them those names on purpose) is one of my very favourites of the show, and I'm so, so happy that not only was Chris recognised, but also Mike. I mean, with that writing AND his performance, he is rewriting television dads forever.

I know I take it too seriously perhaps, but I was honestly reading the nominations with tears in my eyes, I was so happy for them.

Schue is definitely a good character, and I LOVED that they made him an asshole privately for the back 9 episodes. But I agree - there were stronger performances for me - HELLO - FINN HUDSON ANYONE?

i don't think the actor's as great as you do, but i love the character. Obviously he's nowhere near the strongest singer of the bunch (he's autotuned to fuck). Not that it matters really.

Kurt's dad is currently pushing Sandy Cohen in the 'best tv dad ever' poll that i occasionally conduct in my brain.

Ahaha, you are me sometimes, I swear! I've been keeping a best tv dad ever list in my head too!

I do love Cory Monteith, not just because he's cute/charming, I just like his awkward acting style, and Finn I think could so easily be overdone in a really self-conscious pretty boy dumb way, but I think he lends himself to the role so well.

The spoilers for season two are starting to come now (from Murphy, Brennan and Falchuk!) but one thing that is totally non-spoilery good is that they're bringing down the performances to 5 songs per episode now, instead of the 8 they crammed in through the back nine episodes. Which I agree was just too damn much.

They start shooting July 28th, and it's airing September 21st if I'm not mistaken! HOORAH!

i think salon actually had a best tv/movie dad list the other week. it was topped by atticus finch, but kurt's dad was also on there. I hadn't noticed him on the nomination list. i'm a bit dozy these days.

re: Cory Monteith, i think you're right about his acting: he's definitely convincing as a teenage boy. I just wish the dude could sing, though. having him do all those duets with Lea Michelle doesn't help!

Soooo... what do we think of the new season?

I was pretty disappointed with the season opener but this week my faith has been restore! All hail Ms Britney, and also, BRITTANY! Heather Morris is such a ridiculously good dancer and she looked amazing.

Finchel porn was great too, but that's because I ship them SO HARD.

Really glad to see it was back on form. Next week is the Rocky Horror Show Halloween episode!! :D :D :D

I don't think it's on here til January 2011.
What's that all about?
Sky 1 shows new series' "days after they start in the US".

They did the same thing last year though - season 1 started on UK tv in January as well.

I can't download, so I just stream shows! Easy peasy and usually available a few hours after airing.
