Weeds is pretty good, but maybe because I love Mary-Louise Parker.

I'm not really a fan of Harry Enfield, but his Deborah Meaden is spot on.
And by me, I mean, Flexo.

We just watched it, it was all about getting good Britney back wasn't it. 16 nominations, over what, 3, 4 albums? never won anything, then tonight she scoops 3 with a single that i didn't even now existed?!? More millions in the bank for MTV as a result.

The rest was a bit car crash wasn't it.. No-one seemed to get Russell Brand, which i guess was kind of the point, and who the fuck are the Jonas Brothers?

In fact, who the fuck were pretty much all those people, and why didn't Lil Wayne buy a belt.
and that snare drum, that drum roll
means we've got a winner

I really quite liked Harry and Paul, I think Paul Whitehouse is nothing short of genius anyway

I'll definitely be watching this series

I genuinely don't know anything about the music kids listen to nowadays.

I don't either! I got laughed at by my students for not knowing Chris Brown was a singer. I thought they were talking about a classmater or friend or someone when they said he was dating Rihanna.

Fucking Chris Brown! That dude rewrote the jingle for Doublemint Gum and released it as a single before it was announced it was indeed a commercial. And it was hit! The chorus literally had the lines "Double your pleasure / double your fun!" They're all whores, each and every one of them.

The only person I trust anymore is Joel McHale.

He is funny AND handsome AND charming and should totally be moving to "Late Night" instead of Jimmy 'Asshole' Fallon.

Fucking hell. I don't suppose anyone just saw Cliff Richard on the National Lottery show, did they? He was doing his new song. I know his dancing has never been up to much, but tonight he plumbed new depths. At one point he looked like he was wrestling with a large, slippery trout before twirling it around his head.

Please say someone else saw it.

I suddenly realised that he'd been on screen for several minutes before I noticed and managed to switch over. (Then I again, I did fail to notice bagpipe music twice yesterday.) He did have an awfully pained expression on his face, didn't he?
Don't be thick in front of me.

I'm nearly bursting with Saturday afternoon TV happiness right now: the Hairy Bakers were doing teatime treats earlier (their Bakewell Tart looked amazing) and now there's the repeat of the Bournemouth-to-Plymouth episode of 'Coast' with Alice Roberts building sandcastles and that coastal railway line going along the, um, coast. Lovely.

HBO is airing an American version of Little Britain.

I imagine it will be the only thing ever less funny than MADtv.

I was going to say "Hey, 'Ali G' worked in America!" but then I remembered "Ali G" was a good show and "Little Britain" was not.

And the Office worked, too. I think Little Britain is possibly the worst thing I've even seen.

I think the 20 minutes of You've Been Framed I watched today was the best 20 minutes of my weekend. You can take this as guide to the quality the programme, the quality of my weekend, or both!

..considering you spent most of your weekend trying to maim an elderly woman.

You've really got to get your kicks where you can up here though! I was driven to it!
Anyway, that was probably just my fourth favourite moment, after You've Been Framed, It'll Be Alright on the Night and my triumphant irn-bru, chippy and X Factor combo.

Too much Griff, too few clueless American local news readers.

The clip with the shopping channel plasma TV showing Charlie Brooker's Screenwipe was ace, though, if only for how it must have really baffled most of the ITV Saturday evening prime-time audience.

Griff? Is it not presented by Dennis Norden any more?

snorkachu wrote:Did anyone see Hole in the Wall on Saturday night? It was completely baffling. It's a load of mediocre celebrities in silver lycra and they have to make shapes to get through a hole in a polystyrene moving wall. If they don't make it through the hole, they fall in some water. It's presented by Dale Winton, who looked like he'd rather be back on previous all-time career low Touch the Truck.
Hole In The Wall is the BEST SHOW IN THE WORLD, rivaling Takeshi's Castle, when it comes to these things. Honestly, I would YouTube the Japanese original soooo much back in the day, it is amazing.

It has just started in Sweden and I am LOVING IT. It's so much funnier when you KNOW who all these celebs are, bahaha, it makes it even more undignified.

Physical comedy = forever the best. That's why, if you just allow yourself to enjoy it, America's Funniest Home Videos will have you howling with laughter when someone falls over in an undignified way. Although if it is properly on purpose, like say clowns, it is not funny anymore. Not for me at least.
