You know that Mock the Week? It's just a really shit version of Have I Got News For You with shitter, more desperate comedians isn't it?
Fuck your tea room.

The format is shit, yeah. But there are just enough laughs to make it worth watching, cos half the people on it are good. That Frankie thingy who's really rude, I like him. Dara is good. And David Mitchell goes on it and he's a feckin genius.

It's more like a cross between HIGNFY and Whose Line Is It Anyway and serves an outlet for circuit comics to reuse their material, except Frankie Boyle who's very witty.
Toot toot.

Oh, I've never seen it when David Mitchell's been on. There's a young comedian who looks about 15 who's awful. And Dara's alright I suppose. And who's that little bald guy with a beard who looks like he should be in Lord of The Rings? He's just a knob.
Fuck your tea room.

That Michael McIntyre - I've only seen him on Mock the Week, but it's not just me who thinks he's an unfunny little twat, right?

Young comedian probably Russel Howard, who is funnier live.
Bald hobbit is probably Andy Parsons, who...

Michael Macintyre is a grower, I think. I find him quite endearing, he's one of the best of the Radio 4 bunch, probably...
Toot toot.

He needs to fucking grow. He looks about five foot two.

He did one of our awards ceremonies last year. He was a right miserable twat.

He's strange, isn't he? He starts talking, in his strange blurting way, and you go "listen to the way he talks - he's just a crazy fool!" And then he gets to the end and it's unexpectedly quite funny. I couldn't eat a whole one though.

I really like Mark Watson. I can't actually remember anything very much at all that he's said on Mock the Week, but I loved his Radio 4 show. In fact I think he joked on his Radio 4 show about not actually saying very much at all on Mock the Week.

Andy Hart pointed out to me that the way Russell Howard compensates for not being funny is to go cross-eyed half way through every one of his "jokes". Have a look next time - it's the funniest thing about him.

I thought he was just cross-eyed. I was drunkenly chatting up a comedian at a festival this year and found myself telling him how I quite fancied Russell Howard and thought it was because he was cross-eyed, kind of like how I had a crush on PJ out of PJ and Duncan only after he was blinded in that paintball accident. The comedian in question then told me he was friends with Russell Howard. Oh, I said. I was very drunk.

I used to love Frankie Boyle but even he's becoming a bit formulaic now, in a "something shocking, something really shocking, Kerry Catona, something shocking" way.

I thinke he is. But it seems to be more pronouced when he realises his joke isn't very funny. He reminds me of a rescue centre puppy.

Depends on what you can usually handle I suppose. I think it is meant to be genuinely gory.

i'm a total wuss when it comes to scary. i am usually fine with gory, but if it's really scary i probably won't be able to sleep.

i am totally going to watch it anyway.

It'll be worth it. I read that the Davina death scene is genuinely moving, even for Davina-haters. I'm not sure about that, but it's Charlie Brooker so I'll be watching regardless.

This John Prescott programme is making me want to break kittens already.
