Re: Indietracks 2015 Photos and Memories

Did anyone else see the terribly embarrassed horse in a rain mac? Was it this one? https://www.flickr.com/photos/orqwith/19787938660/in/album-72157656357556626/ I didn't see it this year but have done in previous years and it always looked embarrassed. In previous years he's always been in somethin...

Tapes and tapes and tapes and tapes free to a good home

Hello there, Anyone still have much use for preloved, already used audio tapes? Maybe for recording demo stuff or tape-only compilations on? A clear-out of one corner of the Person Cave here at home reveals that I've got loads of the blighters. Dozens. All Ferric (as one half of Humousexual claimed ...

Punchy Club still looking alright for this week as things stand. Will work wreck my plans at the eleventh hour? Will it?

On my way over for day two in a few minutes! Trust that paying on the door is still fine. I. Need. Some. Indiepop.

Caught an episode with a ball that was too bouncy whilst channel-hopping on holiday last week. Utterly enchanting. Quack!

Re: Is there REALLY no thread about the Eurovision Song Cont

That basically tallied with my list of faves too, bro. No wonder we're related.

Loic Nottet trying to rip his own face off a minute after having a kip on stage was one thing I didn't see coming.

Re: Sheffield

No Punchy Club for me this week or next owing to meetings, webinars and general work intrusions.

I miss everyone. All of the Sheffields.

I know Wheatus had a big hit with it, and it also appeared on Bjorn Again's Erasure-ish EP. Of other versions, however, I know not. Anyone?

Re: field recordings

Somewhere up in the person cave I still have an audio cassette of field recordings of birdsong. This is what they played on Classic FM by way of a test transmission for a few months before the station launched for real in September 1992. Quite pretty. There's loads of things here at the university l...

Huzzah!

See you there and then, then.

You bring the noise and I'll bring the smile, as a noted philosopher once wrote.

Or it might have been Martika.

I forget.

The new Star Tropics single on Bandcamp represents the highpoint of the year for me so far. Beautiful. Loved the Haiku Salut/Jilk collaboration mentioned also.

Re: Things I am listening to now then

Star Tropics, Star Tropics and Star Tropics over again. No mention of them on Anorak previously, save for one nomination to play Indietracks 2014 that I'd overlooked; so thanks to the venerable Indie Pop Saved My Life feed on Facebook for directing me to them good and proper this time. Unquestionabl...

Genuine actual indiepop algebraic equation using genuine actual data from today's genuine actual Punchy Club! Today at lunch club I am wearing a black zipped hoodie and a dark blue top. Kelly is in a dark blue top and cardie and Tonieee is in a hooped top and a hooped cardie. Pete is wearing a dark ...
