Re: 'Orrors
That Gatiss programme was excellent, as usually. Love the interviews he gets, I don't think I've ever seen what Argento looks like before. I want to go to his weird horror museum. Yesterday evening was the first film of the Mayhem Horror Festival - Maniac. I didn't really know what to expect from it...

Re: Nottingham
The maze is too big, I think for regular indiepop gigs? Or maybe not, I just remember being a gigs there and thinking it was a really sizable room, but then maybe that's not a bad thing. They do seem to put a hell of a lot punk (well pop punk/ska and the like) gigs on there, but also some really ecl...

Re: Nottingham
Aside from bunkers which is good for gigs, but maybe a bit far for some? Ropewalk? I've always thought that looked like a promising venue. Probs the red room at the rr too expensive? Saw some lovely gigs there when DSFAR did them. Do they even use it anymore? Do they still do stuff at the Hand and H...

Re: Standard Fare + The Smittens + August Actually 10 July,
This was terrific, I think a decent crowd turned up despite a clear indietracks lull. The 3 bands all entertained me in different ways. August actually are, being a band I was a part of, a conundrum. Effusive praise probably sound like hyperbole and criticism probably sounds like bad blood. Nice to ...

Re: Leicester Indiepop Alldayer, 24th March 2012
Boy was I hungover this morning, though. Bet mine was worse! My wife couldn't make it (she went to Butlins Skegness for a 70s weekend) so we got a young lad, mid 20s, from our office to come with the bribe of a free ticket thinking he'd get bored and go home by 6pm, but he had a really good time an...

Re: recommend me non-english fiction!
Not sure if I quite know exactly what you're after but what about Popular Music by Mikael Niemi? It's lightweight, easy to read, it was originally written in Swedish and Meänkieli, so it's linguistically interesting, and most importantly it's a good book too. He's written some other books too, but I...

Re: Five-a-side
It's knackering. I'd suggest going in goal if you can throw at all, it'll save on running about like. I dunno what else really, I used to play 5 a side at uni with a cigarette in my mouth for much of it, so I doubt I can give you any tips really. Don't kick the ball too high - that's my ultimate adv...

I'm really excited an' all, and that's as a member of a band and as an eager spectator. It's a fab line-up and it's going to be great.

Re: Nottingham
Anyone fancy a pint before the gig tonight?
Not sure what time we're soundchecking, but probably be finished by 6:30/7, I would have thought.
Text me or summat, I have a new number now (well a couple of months old but I've been lax at telling anyone) - 07972107283 - .

Re: Anguish Sandwich
They were great at Indietracks, my favourite band of the weekend; the CD I bought from them there is brilliant too.
I don't know what else to say really, I think Anguish Sandwich are brilliant. I like the name too.
