Re: The Musicians wanted thread!

This will swing it for people. We (Snowy) are going to play the Christmas special Pass the Bucket! Pianists and bassists form an orderly queue!

Re: Exeter (and Devon)

Thank you. I am a westcountryer of old and I'm really trying to move back here permanently but no-one will give me a job! I found a great flat in St David's but he won't let me move in on the dole, so fingers crossed for my interview (central) and house viewings (one central, one St Thomas) on Frid...

Re: Pass the Bucket - London

And thanks to whoever changed the title to something more geographically accurate. (Stockwell, to be precise).

Come on musical acts, it's swamped with comedians and poets at the moment.

Re: Pass the Bucket

Very true. I've got so wrapped up in London that I seem to have forgotten the rest of the country exists! Bloody London!

But we will welcome acts from anywhere. And maybe we'll go on tour if it doesn't die on it's arse. Which it might if we don't find more musical acts!

Urgently seeking a pianist. It's not a 999 emergency, but it could bring on mild anxiety.

Pass the Bucket - London

We're starting up Pass the Bucket* again, and are looking for acts. Anything goes really: bands, poetry, comedy, juggling, serious shit like theatre and that (as long as it can be contained to half an hour), poncey dancing, anything you can think of. We particularly want some musical acts. PM me or ...

This won't be much use if you're reading this too much later (posting this at 1pm on Friday April 18th). But look at the sea at Dawlish Warren! Look at it! Go on! That's where I'd like to be right now. Walking in the dunes with a big bag of salty and vinegary chips. http://www.bbc.co.uk/devon/conte...

Re: 10/05- Lostmusic Records @ RoTA in Notting Hill - Free!

I think I shall be jumping on a tube shortly to come along, and then off to see Band of Holy Joy afterwards (assuming I can pay on the door, otherwise I'll either go to Spiral Scratch or just go home and cry on my shoes, like most nights).

Re: Exeter (and Devon)

Oh, I didn't know they had that there. You can see Dwalish from Exmouth (and vice versa of course - Exmouth is in the photo on the other side of the river) and you can get there by train, but it takes you about an hour. You can get the ferry from Exmouth to Starcross and vice versa. Not sure how fr...

I am deeply regretting not getting a train ticket last week when it would have been £25 and not the £55 I was quoted today. Grrreedy forkers.

My favouritest band! The Windmill gig was fantastic, and they have announced a London date for May. At the Rhythm Factory, 10th May. I will be there.

Re: Doing it for the kids 08- launch gig 10th April

Doors are at 7, close is at 1. 30. Is it likely to run that late? The last time I was at one of those multi-band Thursday night extravaganzas at the Classic Grand, they were all done by about 10.30pm. It's just that public transport is teh suck after about 11.30pm on weekdays. Bands finish at 11:45...

I will probably be there. April's schedule is still a bit of a mystery at present, but will try.
