Re: Mascot Fight

Buy this NOW. It's wonderful.

(or download it for free, but you should really give Tom some money for his lovely songs)

Re: The weather pessimism thread

Still pretty torrential in Leicester, but maybe not quite as bad a 7am this morning, so we're moving in the right direction. Also, we have to bear in mind that this is an anomaly caused as much by the 'tracks moving weekends as it is by freakish weather. Next year we'll be back to the end of July an...

Re: The weather pessimism thread

Yesterday I had the most bizarre weather experience and as it happened in the Midlands region, I though I'd share it with the class in case it is an OMEN. As it was my birthday, Jonny and I went to Newark for the day (he wanted to 'try out the A46 now the roadworks have finished'. Yep, he's that rom...

Re: The weather pessimism thread

The five day forecast on Countryfile yesterday seemed to show heavy rain everyday in the midlands this week so the going is likely to be soft, although BBC showing a clear day on Thursday now. Give me sunny intervals and heavy showers over persistent, soul sapping grey rain though. Or hailstones th...

Re: The weather pessimism thread

Yep, it's been chucking it down in Leicester all day as well (although it seems to have temporarily stopped). I'd say it's going to be a bit boggy in front of that main stage even if the weather does do a spectacular u-turn before Friday. I think cardigans AND wellies may be a prerequisite this week...

Thanks ronald. My technical incompetence never ceases to astound! PLUS, can I also mention that there are two new CDrs out this week? DCR030 Skittle Alley - Just A Kiss DCR031 The Lost Homeboys - Leaving Town EP with 2 more to follow on 23 July DCR029 Downdime - Satellite Distortions DCR032 Nature S...

Re: The weather pessimism thread

I am not taking any risks and will be purchasing a new cardigan especially for the occasion.

Probably this one if I can find it in a large enough size http://www.oasis-stores.com///oasis/fcp ... 080459#GBP.

(Maybe waiting for it to go down even further in the sale was a bad idea.)

Re: 2/6 - Going Up The Country - Congleton, Cheshire

Excellent news. Already in my diary. Also I realised that I completely forgot to mention two of the biggest highlights of the day - AFDFS on the main stage and Pete Green in the tent...and particularly, AFDFS singing a song from the main stage about Pete Green playing in the tent! Also finding out a...

Re: Anorak meet-up at Indietracks: Saturday 12:30, signal bo

This sounds like a very sensible suggestion. If we're agreed on 12 maybe someone needs to change the title of the thread to Anorak meet-up at Indietracks: Saturday 12:00, signal box. Or maybe we should start a new thread.

The Sunbathers are pleased to announce an exciting and (probably) exclusive new release especially for Indietracks! The physical release will comprise an appropriate Sunbathers artefact (you'll have to wait and see what it is) with a download code for a new song written especially for the occasion a...

Trixie's Big Red Motorbike 25 or 26 August 2012 - LONDON

Does anybody fancy putting on a stellar triple bill of Trixie's Big Red Motorbike, The Fenestration (Mark Flunder, ex-TVPs and Gina, ex-Marine Girls) and The Sunbathers over the August Bank Holiday weekend (Saturday OR Sunday)? All the people in their right minds (and quite a few people who aren't) ...

Re: Allo, Darlin'

Been listening to the covers album a lot, but not the album itself - I've got a lot on at the moment and I wanted time to savour it. Anyway I gave it another spin last night and I love it - I think it IS as immediate as the first one and I suspect over time I might even love it more. I was going to ...

Re: 2/6 - Going Up The Country - Congleton, Cheshire

I was so pleased when I read this. It was an amazing day and everyone was fantastic. It seems churlish to single out particular highlights, but I have to say that the Hobbes Fan Club were superb (I'm thinking of setting up camp outside the church NOW so I can guarantee getting in to see them at Indi...

is it sunbathers own brand sunscreen? In the interests of public safety, I would like to point out the the Sunbathers WILL NOT be providing free sunscreen at Indietracks. We wouldn't want anybody getting sunburn because they're expecting us to provide their factor 50 for the weekend. It would have ...

Re: Why are people putting things out on tape?

The Sunbathers have a very special (and exclusive, unless no one wants them and we end up with a cupboard full forever) release planned for Indietracks, which involves a digital download and a fantastically appropriate Sunbathers artefact*. Random-crap-with-downloads. It's the only way to go. * Don'...
