I don't think anyone's going to stop people from dancing! Here's where it is... http://www.efdss.org/front/Kennedy%20Hall/kennedy-hall/110/88 Perfect for them I think, and for Darren. Oh good. I thought it was built-in seating but it looks like there will be chairs brought in so that means those of...

Re: Gigs of 2011

I prefer talking about my gigs of the year rather than albums/EPs/singles of the year! They seem easier to decide on and usually are more powerful. Nice to read a range of gigs on your lists, particularly boney's. * Feb 25-27, London Popfest, various venues. On Friday, Swedish pop group The Andersen...

One thing I neglected to put in my press release - this will be an all seated gig. Nooooooo! I was dancing down the front to most songs at their last Indietracks performance. Do they plan to play all slow songs at this show? I am keen to see this venue, though. I'm reminded of all the charming and ...

Re: Liechtenstein

Ahh, what a taster from their upcoming album. What's not to love? That almost *funky* rhythm section, Renée's confident, knowing voice, those pitch perfect female harmonies and a bit of Orange Juice-esque guitar. First an album, then surely some shows to show off these tremendous new songs?

Re: The Starlets + Ally Kerr + Graeme Elston - London, 25.1.

This weekend I found out that on the night of this very gig, it will be Burns night! I'm delighted at the coincidence, that we will have 2 Scottish artists playing the night that many round the world celebrate the life and work of Robert Burns. I am working on finding out if the Betsey will have or ...

Re: The Starlets + Ally Kerr + Graeme Elston - London, 25.1.

That Ally Kerr video is a bit special Jen. I was too nervous to enjoy his set in Glasgow as we were on next, which is a shame. I won't make it down for this but it looks a cracker. You are very kind. :-) I can totally understand your pre-gig nerves. Did you not have a couple cans of Carling though....

Re: makeup and cosmetics

I need urgent help! My mother-in-law always likes to buy me bath or beauty stuff as presents and she's asked what I'd like for Christmas. I want make-up, but I'm a bit stumped. I've looked at the usual gift sets and palettes and nothing's inspiring me. Are there some cute things out there I've miss...

From what I've heard you want lynsosaurus on your side when dealing with Barcelona pickpocketers! I think you mostly just have to be sensible though - don't leave anything where it'll be easily accesible to others. Didn't have any problems when I was there earlier in the year. well, i don't like to...

Hoping to have copies of Cinema Red & Blue's debut release for Fortuna POP! in time for this show. It's a 4-track 10" called the Butterbean Crypt EP. Two David Feck originals and two covers. Gonna make it on spooky coloured vinyl too! Are these songs that aren't on the album? And what is spooky col...

...oh and get The Waltones to reform just for me please. I would enjoy this very much too. I was really happy to read in the Indietracks Scared to Dance zine that they will most likely be making some more songs! It seems that Indietracks and the lead-up practices inspired Charles to keep writing. He said they'll at least do another EP. This is great! I remembered reading on Sam's A Layer ...

I haven’t read anybody else’s thoughts and reviews yet as I wanted to try to keep my own my own thoughts pure without the influence of others! Time ticks by in the cruel, routinized post-Indietracks world and soon I worry some of these these beautiful little details will be forgotten. FRIDAY We arri...
