Argh! I've heard such conflicting reports about Bare Minerals! I think next time I'm in Sephora I'm gonna go for a taste test before I commit any money to them.

Re: makeup and cosmetics

Anyway. Tell me what you use! I use a medium size brush to blend my mineral foundation (which I have been using on your recommendation! though I've been using Amazing Cosmetics' brand rather than Urban Decay. It is ok, though I might try Bare Minerals next.). I also use a large size brush for loose...

Re: So You Think You Can Dance

Aww, why do you want Twitch and Kherington to be in the bottom three, Joe? I really don't think they've been treated as THE superstar couple since the start. I think Joshua and Katee have (and rightly so). And I'm with you on Mark (hott) and Chelsie. They are brilliant too. But I love Twitch. I love...

I'm certain we must have been at the same club or gig all the times I've been over there! But this time for sure. Well done on putting together an ace bill. :-)

Re: So You Think You Can Dance

Oh my god, cupster, I am so right there with you. I utterly dislike Comfort's partner. What is his name even? He is so faceless and vanilla. He is blank and dull and soulless. Ugh! He's bringing her down, man! And yes, where the hell is Wade Robson? What went wrong in the contract negotiations? We n...

I've forgotten how impressed I was with the fact that SBJ just does not sweat Aww, girl, you mean you never got a sweaty hug from me? Next time. I assure you; you did not want to whiff my dress after the Saturday night gig and disco extravaganza. French speakers: a lad from Paris posted a little re...

We have another one on Friday 27th June, and we have the lovely String Bean Jen all the way from Chicago as guest dj which is very exciting. That's me! And this is next Friday. Exciting. I'm glad to see there are a number of California and bay area folks on Anorak. Ace! I'm putting together my set ...

Re: So You Think You Can Dance

Agreed on getting Susie the hell out of there. I could not believe she made it into the top 20! She's really just a club dancer and not even that skilled or unique of one anyway! I don't know who got kicked off last week but I was hoping it had been her. Can't believe she even lasted a week! Marquis...

There are also a couple pictures of cuties from the Popfest, including a bunch of Peggy Pains at the Rebel Waltz's blog (yes, it's a bit vain of me to post, but it was sweet to be asked!) from the posting dates June 12-18. http://bp3.blogger.com/_axCjD1UT3YU/SFkuhN38i0I/AAAAAAAABRA/fq7dQ3E7CCg/s400/...

They win everyone over eventually! I, too, can't get them outta my head. *sigh*

Re: NYC Popfest! 6/12 - 6/15

Have Mahogany gone a bit rock? They sounded pretty rock from downstairs, although all that sniffing and squeezing was messing with my head a bit so I might have been imagining things. Andrew said something like 'fuck all that electronic bullshit' (which I thought quite odd) and said that they'd lef...

Mahogany – suddenly all fashionista, but still, guitars that make you feel like you’re on another planet. Stunning. Hee, I just emailed yr photos to Andrew Mahogany, Ana looked like such a fox in them! Mahogany have always been well turned out, it was only last year when they had all the members of...

I have my pictures on Flickr here. I have three sexy videos of Cats On Fire's Sunday night performance which I will upload tonight.

Re: NYC Popfest! 6/12 - 6/15

If you want music reviews, I'll leave that to someone else. My 500-word essay would be, "It was wicked awesome." Just like him from My Teenage Stride would say? ;) I have thrown some pictures up here. I really only got pix of POBPAH and The Orchids, cuz I was too busy ( drunk ) getting my groove on...

My first post on anorak!

That was easily one of the best weekends of my life. Spending four days in a brilliant city with wonderful friends, new acquaintances, and indie pop stars; singing, dancing, drinking, and watching some of the best bands in the world. Could there be anything better? Seeing the east coast brigade, man...
