There doesn't seem to be a thread on here about Po!, can that be right? Anyway, I thought people here might be interested* to know that Ruth from Po! is going to be playing at my Totally Acoustic gig in London in April. Details are here: http://www.mjhibbett.co.uk/totallyacoustic/thegigs.php *I say ...

Re: PRS and publishing and things like that

PRS is just for writing songs, to get money for performing you have to be in the PPL too. I don't know if it's worth it for our sort of stuff tho as I *think* the record company have to register you as on it. I always register our stuff anyway and we've never got anything! I also got paid various mi...

Re: Your Indietracks 2016 wishlist

When are applications open for next year? Asking for a friend... well, four specific friends.* ANYWAY, as the only bands I see these days are ones I play with I thought I would DO a few, thus: Grace Petrie (she's local!) Ivor Game (he was *amazing* at Totally Acoustic last week, everyone google him!...

Re: MJ Hibbett and the Validators

Cor, it's ages since I plugged something here, where has the time gone eh? Anyway, just wanted to say - we have a new album NEARLY finished what we'll be putting out (hopefully) next spring. It's jolly exciting and features no (0) space dinosuars or other conceptual matters, but DOES feature at leas...

Prolapse

I have never seen this band live despite coming from their city and knowing Geordie Mick for fucking YEARS before clicking he was in them (I got to know him after they'd finished). Also now he's fucked off back to the NE it'd be nice to hang with the bugger.

Re: Indietracks 2014 Photos and Memories

The Flatmates covered Prince's 'When You Were Mine' - It's on our new single, due next month... Also The Spook School did their collaboration track 'Saliva' with a Just Joan - so kind of a cover there, as the track is released as by 'Ivor McGyver'. Didn't The Skeletal Shakes do "HeatWave"? Or did i...

Re: 2015, then...

I read an interview with Graham Fellows saying he was looking to do some gigs as "himself", rather than John Shuttleworth, in future. I think that would be rather marvellous at Indietracks.
