Re: General Stuff People Want to Know

I've been asked if I happen to know if people can take dogs onto the festival site... not for fighting, biting, selling or breeding but just to accompany their owner and enjoy the spectacle like any regular punter Sorry it's taken so long to find an answer for this. I'm afraid it's a 'no'. Apparent...

Re: Your Indietracks 2012 Wishlist (and actual announcements

Yes, that's right - we're just finalising the stage times with the bands at the moment, and would hope to announce the day line-ups within the next couple of weeks.

We've already announced the full Friday line-up, which is: Darren Hayman and the Secondary Modern, The School and The Smittens.

Re: And eeeeeeeeeeeee! some more

Enjoying the Indietracks feature in today's East Midlands edition of Metro, particularly a) the size of the photo of Nat, pretty much the biggest picture of any one person in today's lifestyle section, and b) that killer, instantly selling headline '50 bands to play at festival'. Haha! I think Nat ...

Just a little reminder that the early bird Indietracks ticket offer expires at 5pm this Saturday (14 April).

Adult weekend tickets are £7 cheaper if you buy them by Saturday, so please pick up your tickets before then if you want to grab a bargain!

Re: General Stuff People Want to Know

On the dog question, I think it might be okay, but let me check with the railway first and report back. On sneaking alcohol in, the security people do searches at both gates and don't let any alcohol in. They're dead strict as it's a condition of the festival's license from the council. So please do...

Re: Suspected arson attack at Midlands Railway Centre

Thanks for posting this up, I'll contact the railway and try and find out what happened and how bad it is. It looks like the fire took out a single carriage, but the fire brigade got there before the fire spread any further.

i've read this topic through twice but i'm still slightly confused about exactly how far away it is, a couple of the posts seem to contradict themselves, or i may just be getting confused. Is it going to be silly money in a taxi back frmo the site to the Alfreton 'lodge on an early july evening? i ...

Re: Your Indietracks 2012 Wishlist (and actual announcements

As Indietracks is happening earlier this year, will the first line-up announcements be made earlier, too? Please say yes, Indietracks people. Yes, that's the plan and wheels are very much in motion :-) As well as the usual Twitter, Facebook etc, we have an occasional and slightly 1990s Indietracks ...

Re: 26/1 - An Evening With A Little Orchestra at Buffalo Bar

Looking forward to tonight! I wish I could find a video of Simon Loves' previous appearance with the orchestra at the Luminare. He was reading a Tom Waits poem to a background of avant-garde noise - it was properly haunting (except when a certain violin player* got the giggles). There's only this ph...

Re: Please donate to help repair vandalised Indietracks chur

Just to say a very big thank you to everyone who donated to help repair the church! You raised an amazing £935.38 for the railway (including Gift Aid) which will go a really long way towards covering the cost of the vandalism. The Midland Railway have let us know that they really appreciate the dona...

Re: On mastering

A mastering person might be able to help with this, but if you're looking to do it for free at home you might be able to use Audacity. That would let you import the tracks as WAVs or MP3s and adjust the volume in the places where it's too loud.

Please donate to help repair vandalised Indietracks church

Earlier this week the Midland Railway's church was vandalised overnight. It's pretty devestating for the charity, who are now having to find over £1000 in repairs. We're therefore asking if you'd be able to help raise some money to support the railway please. The appeal will run until Saturday 14 Ja...
