Re: Veronica Falls

I'm always at least five step behind you cool indie kids, but I just found out that Veronica Falls are going to be in Tokyo in November. I can't begin to describe how excited I am! I have not gone to Tokyo for a gig in ages.

I need to make friends with someone who kills people for a livin...

Mark Bittman's 101 Thanksgiving ideas isn't bad either. Recipes for Health and the Minimalist are two of my favorite things on the NYTimes (after Krugman and Rich, of course!)

Re: Gilmore Girls

I finally have the whole series on DVD, though strangely I keep watching them out of order. Anyway, I just realized that there was another veteran of Twin Peaks (besides Sherilyn Fenn) in Gilmore Girls. Who knew Sherry was Madchen Amick, aka Shelly Johnson. Anyway... i'm making a list of favorite mo...

Re: Curry!

i'm having flashbacks to Fuji Rock where my British friend was getting chips from one place and then asking the guy at the Japanese curry stall to put some of the gravy on her chips. she said it was like the curry sauce for chips back home.

Re: Curry!

Is that like the brown stuff you get on katsu curry in wagamamas, or as we call it chip shop curry sauce? "This katsu curry is just like a kentucky fried chicken smothered in chip shop curry" "yeah, good innit" i guess. i think i mistakenly ordered that once *ages* ago (back before wagamamas was a ...

Re: New Directions: Glee!

i actually really loved the episode, but because of the way it handled the topic of religion. that and Finn doing an REM song.

It's definitely not as funny as it used to be. Brittney saying stupid stuff (however funny) doesn't a great show make.
