Re: The Groove Farm

In 1986, when The Groove Farm first started, they used to cover 'Valleri' (The Monkees) and now all these years later they have recorded a version (Dandelion Radio session) that will appear on their brand new long player (out on Raving Pop Blast!) in July. (orders taken now!) The Groove Farm were a ...

Re: The Smiths/Morrissey

I feel exactly the same as Humblebee. I'm sure there are loads of 'popstars' who have all done/said stupid and horrible things that we wouldn't like, but it doesn't stop you being able to enjoy their music. Separate their behaviour from their music. But for some reason with Morrissey, who I once tho...

Re: The Wedding Present/Cinerama

The latest Wedding Present LP 'Valentina' is one of the best things they've ever done. Of course times have changed and they've had their 'big' moment so most people won't admit it, but it really is. Although i've never thought of them as an Indiepop band...ever. Indie and Pop yes, but 'indiepop' ??...

MOBSTAR Records makes a come back Via Bandcamp

In The 90's when most people in the UK had given up caring about Indie / DIY... one of John Peel's favourite bands Beatnik Filmstars while releasing records on Slumberland and Merge amongst others, ran MOBSTAR RECORDS. Lot's of indie, indiepop, Lo-Fi, and general goodness. Anyway...it's now all avai...

Re: gender equality and indiepop

Once you've all worked out why there's not enough females in Indiepop, and how we can even the balance, and why it's so important that we do, could you then work out why there's not an equal balance of black and white people in indiepop. And when you've sorted that, we need an equal balance of trans...

Blimey! Money's been a bit tight of recent and there were a number of new records to buy and Allo Darlin' is one i've had to put off for just a while, so i thought i'd pop by to see what folks were saying about it...and found a war zone. Never knew the anoraks had it in them. Fear not, I shall be pu...
