Indietracks 2015 review & highlights

Our man Jordan reviewed this year's festival, I hope it isn't as controversial as last years review was! (just checked the comments!) His personal highlights were The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Martha, The Popguns and Desperate Journalist. I am sure you have many more?! http://www.godisinthetvzin...

Fine Days for Indiepop – Indietracks 2011 Review

Indietracks is always special. This year’s festival? Even more so. The fifth summer Indietracks (29th-31st July) was not only able to confidently assert its most diverse array of artists to date, but it seems as if now, half a decade into existence, the event really has established as loyal and enth...

Indietracks festival preview

If 2008 seemed to be a hazardous one for the fledgling festival (Zoo08 anyone?) then no one thought to tell the organisers of Indietracks Indiepop Festival. In just its second year the Derbyshire festival- located somewhat uniquely at the Midland Railway Museum in Butterley, was host to an enthusias...

Re: The Smiths/Morrissey

Haha the Morrissey album ain't too clever either(damn this keyboard!) But seriously I even liked the last two album, and whilst I agree his voice sounds strong on it, the musical backing is rather lumpen, the melodies are pretty standard Mozzer, and the lyrics are like a ABC of Morrissey themes....b...

Re: The Pains of Being Pure at Heart

Gutted they aren't playing Cardiff, I even tried to book them to come down here myself. One minute they were free the next the booking guy confirmed a brum date phfff.....Oh well maybe next time. It seems strange that they're playing Wrexham and not here though/

Re: Camera Obscura

I've got a promo copy of the new album, it's just as impressive as their last one.As well as the usual pop moments, there's a suprsingly intimate core to the middle of the album. Themes of love, heartbreak and being sick of touring seem to dominate. I;m looking forward to finally catch them live at ...

The Muscle Club

A plug for my mate really, he's directed an admitedly no budget /DIY video(note the shaky bits) for a local Cardiff band called the Muscle Club(kind of Cribsy/Libertines/Los Campesinos). You can watch "Hail Joe Hale" here:
