Re: Fantasy Football League

*sigh* I suppose I'm going to have to sign Van Persie, much as I hate his guts for joining *them*. The schadenfreude when he tried to dink that penalty in was great, mind, albeit short-lived.

Re: Fantasy Football League

Still mildly baffled by the arbitrary way the bonus points are handed out, but other than that it's nice to have a fantasy team to slightly obsess over again.

Re: Fantasy Football League

In the event of last year's not being renewed I've just set up new leagues for this year (one classic, one head-to-head). The codes are below. If last year's does get renewed then I can just delete these. Classic: 20520-369137 Head to head: 20520-369202 I don't want to lose to Kippers again. Don't ...

Re: Fantasy Football League

No bonus points for Vorm, Crouch or Phil Jones this weekend, despite storming performances from all three. Who decides these things anyway?

Re: Fantasy Football League

Three of my team got negative points this week; Two due to being sent off, and another for getting carded and letting in four goals. Each time I make a transfer it turns out worse than the team I had before. I think this may be my worst ever start to a fantasy season. I feel a wildcard coming on......

Re: Fantasy Football League

My back four scored a total of 2 points this week. That takes some doing. (Bacon saved by rest of team.)

Re: Fantasy Football League

The fantasy league organisation has been undeniably shithouse so far this season but there are signs of a recovery - the players who moved clubs during the transfer window (even the ones who moved late last night) have already been consigned to their new clubs in the squad listings. It's progress of...

Re: Fantasy Football League

Oh I thought I'd been so clever on Saturday night, having transferred Ashley Young out this week and replaced him with Frank Lampard (who'd done quite well against Norwich that day). Then came yesterday's carnage! Never known a fantasy football day like it. And I'm an Arsenal fan. Fuck!

Re: Fantasy Football League

With two million teams or whatever you'd think that the people behind the fantasy football website would've made pretty blooody sure that there were no problems with the new, revamped version before launching it upon an unsuspecting public (most of whom I suspect would've been perfectly happy with t...

Re: Fantasy Football League

I've no problems with a restart either, having redefined the word mediocre with my start. (Not sure I'd be quite so sanguine about the whole restart thing if I'd got off to a flier like some have, mind. Maybe it would be best just to leave it.) I must say it's very decent of them to let us transfer ...

Re: Fantasy Football League

Fantastic. I may well have to give that Championship game a whirl this season too (just for a laugh, like - I'm sure I'll fare appallingly there).

Re: Fantasy Football League

kippers/john does it again. you swine, you. I crawled over the finishing line there, in fairness. But a win's a win's a win (and other cliches). The Premier League are taking their sweet time getting the 2011/12 fantasy season up and running, aren't they? I'm getting twitchy here. (Well, twitchier.)

Re: Fantasy Football League

I'm sick as the proverbial parrot after yesterday's games. I thought I was on a huge points tally because I had Frank Lampard down as captain and my two nearest competitors (80sfan and Kippers) both had Rooney and Drogba, neither of whom played.Unfortunately I can only assume that both will have La...

Re: Fantasy Football League

Does anyone know who John Lewis is on Anorak? I'd be winning our league if it wasn't for him and his scarily-high points total. That would be me. Sorry. Bloody forum part-timers, eh? MInd, you overtook me for a while a couple of weeks back so it shows how quickly things can change in this fantasy f...

Re: TV Quick: talk about things on telly succinctly

Oof. What did everyone think of the new Shooting Stars last night? I thought it was worth it on the strength of 'You've Been Filmed' alone. I really enjoyed that bit too. It was a welcome return all round, for me. I mean, there's fuck all else on TV now that You Have Been watching has finished, so ...

Re: Fantasy Football League

I quite fancy Arshavin to do well this season. I went with him from the start too. Such skill, such sophistication, such style. If he were a chat show host he'd be Elan Partridge. Back of the net! Cor blimey guv, it's tight at the top of the Anorak league heading in to the international break. Did ...
