Re: Judd Apatow, Seth Rogen, Jason Segel, all them genius types.

Martin Starr is the hottest thing ever, but only when hideously beardy. I could quite seriously consider stalking the man. mmm.

Re: The Musician's wanted thread!

I'm moving to Leeds within the month and looking for nice people to play with. I play bass, mediocre guitar and my singing voice is not entirely awful. I have some old songs here http://www.myspace.com/iamdearrose" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - looking to do something folksy, I gue...

Re: Gok Wan Appreciation Thread

I really quite liked Gok Wan before his new show. Now I am not so sure. I get a bit irritated at the "showdown" bit - his outfits always look far too overaccessorised and gimmicky, as if he's compensating a bit too much. Plus I get irritated about the way the challenge is phrased - which set do the ...

it was/is fun! I only ended up making the rocky road and marshmallow squares last night as I remembered quite how unprepared I am otherwise, but the proper baking starts tonight with the muffins and so on. I can't believe I only rediscovered baking in the summer. It's easily one of my favourite acti...

They released one of their first UK releases on my band's first label. They're beyond cute, I have to say, and I fear I'd find them less appealing when they grow up.

The album is quite good, great and trashy.

Sorry! Yes, Birmingham Carling Academy is most likely better than Koko, even if it involves a trek out of London. I just couldn't not see them this time round, especially since it's been six years since they will have last played (which I also missed out on, that time due to indifference!) Yay breed...

My first exposure to Los Campesinos! was through playing with them in Cardiff in 2006, when I thought they were bloomin marvellous and lovely chaps also (although admittedly I think every band outside of London are lovely, simply because they actually talk to me... but yes), and had more of a slow e...

oh! I was so excited when I read that I had to call up my boyfriend and tell him (mutual obsession)! I love off you, as we all do, it looks like. There is quite something really beautiful, in a slight aching, hopeless, sort of way. That song made me fall in love with them as a band. Kim can be reall...

I remember nearly wetting my pants after the episode in series one where a bunch of em start acting like.... leopards? or something, and anyway they eat the principal. I had nightmares for weeks! But I was only 13 (and a very wimpy 13) when I saw it, so I hope I can be excused. Is it really sad that...
