Re: Joanna Gruesome

obviously it'd be super lovely if NME were a lot more favorable about what is a really good record (the album and the single) but I think a lot of the kind of people I know who read NME religiously wouldn't necessarily dig what Joanna Gruesome are doing, but the fact they are there being introduced...

Re: jeffrey lewis

I never think it's possible for me to love Jeffrey Lewis's lyrics more, but he always out does himself.

Re: Joanna Gruesome

Dan Stubbs of the NME reviews the 'Sugarcrush' single: Given that this Cardiff quintet's name is a weak pun on a harp-toting cult indie star, it's fair to say they probably haven't set their sights on reaching the top of the hit parade. But even bearing that in mind, 'Sugarcrush' sounds like it was...

Re: The "I just made a song, do you want to listen?" thread.

Hidden Horses song is rather lovely, it kind of reminds me of beat happening in a bizarre kind of way. keep up the good work and all.

Edit I really like Salute to the Salmon too its very lovely

I'm always unsure whether to feel sympathy for Morrissey or not, if The Smiths reformed I'd pay pretty much any amount of money to see them, but I have no interest in their solo stuff anymore they've all aged terribly.

Re: Your Indietracks 2014 wishlist

Let's go all out far from all strictly indie pop I guess this is branching more into, what would my personal ATP look like, with some being genuinely impossible. Bob Mould (playing copper blue in full for my amusement) This Many Boyfriends Hookworms Superchunk MJ Hibbett Los Campesinos Joanna Grueso...

Re: The Football

Crystal Palace How will you do? Honestly no clue depends what's what and how the new players gel. Which teams did you like and dislike most last season? I have more dislikes than likes, dislikes: Cardiff, for their turgid style of kick people rather than play football and Bolton and Brighton, for ob...

Drummers?

Would any Drummers be interested in joining a band in London? We have lots of songs, a name that started as a joke (but was too good to get rid of), Most of the songs are under 2 minutes, it's varies from Fast to mid tempo Noisy Messy Pop. (Los Campesinos, Television Personalities, Sonic Youth,Super...

Re: MJ Hibbett and the Validators

I remember "discovering" MJ Hibbett at a random Bright Club my mate dragged me to because Simon Price was doing a set and he was obsessed with The Manics. So many good songs.
