Continuum

Does anyone else watch this? It's a pretty good -- if, at times, heavy-handed -- Canadian sci-fi. If you like Fringe, Battlestar, or X-Files, you might like it. The acting is pretty decent, and the cast includes the smoking man from the x-files. The terrorists, liber8, are a fairly obvious reference...

Yeah, I guess it should actually be attributed to Bliss Carman, as he sought to fill in the fragments of her poems to create a fluid work. (Most of her work was burned during the Dark Ages. Very sad.)

The School's Playing In Chicago, Amongst Other Places

The School's playing in Chicago tomorrow night at the Burlington. I hope to go. (As far as I can tell) there's no cover and $2 PBR's. They're touring the U.S., so you should check them out if they're playing near you.

It's hard to pick just one, but I think all of Sappho's poems are great. Even though (or perhaps because) she wrote them ~ 600 B.C., her poems are still, simultaneously, some of the most sensual and sweetest poems you'll find.
