Reading all these enthousiastic comments about Indietracks that I missed, I think about the "London Popfest" where I went this year and had lot of fun.

Will it be another one in 2010 ?

My wishlist would be :

- Strawberry Fair (Sweden)
- Horse Shoes (or The Drums) (USA)
- The Cavalcade
- The Just Joans
- Fireflies (or Very Truly Yours) (USA)
- The Embassy or Air France or JJ or all three.. (Sweden)
- Cocoanut Groove (Sweden)
- The Pastels
- Days (Sweden)

Ah! Yes! Lot of swedish people. An evening could be devoted entirely to them ?

Yeah, there'll be one for sure - once we stop fighting about which bands should play.

I spent the weekend in Sweden talking about a) how GRATE Sweden is b) how we'd all be seeing each other again at PopFest. So make it happen, there's SWEDES to hug, dammit!

Right. London Popfest 2010 in my front room, everyone.

Seriously though, we are working on it. Can't tell you how lovely it is to know that others are looking forward to it as much as we are. Yay pop!

I've had withdrawel symptoms ever since I went to the London popfest.
I had such a great time, seeing all those great bands I know and love ... and falling for quite a few I didn't know that well before (since the popfest I realized that Help Stamp Out Loneliness are pretty fantastic and their "celophane" song will certainly be in my top ten of 2009 ...).

So yes, I'm looking forward to London popfest 2010 a lot !

That suggestion of having a Swedish part of the festival is just ace (having just been to Stockholm to witness a part of the Cosy Den festival my love of all things Scandinavian is now running even deeper).

Days, Air France, the Bridal Shop, Strawberry Fair, Paddington Distortion Combo, Elenette (who I also saw in Stockholm and they were absolutely ace) ... ooh, the list is endless.

I would also suggest the very lovely the Burning Hearts (well, I know they are technically not Swedish but Finnish, but hey ...) who were brilliant at the Cosy Den festival.

And you must have Cats on Fire ... so I can finally get to see them live (I always seem to be in the wrong place whenever they are playing a gig).

Ooh, I become all dreamy thinking about London popfest 2010!
