Yeah, it's been all over the Swedish papers. "SWEDISH POP STAR HAS SWINE FLU!" headlines et al.

Poor jens !

Hope he gets better soon and he gives us another one of those wondrous albums. It's been way too long since the last one.

It seems he's doing mostly capital cities, I hope he'll swing back around and do a couple more England dates.

Thanks for that, Astrid. At first (and so far only) listen I have to say... hmm. There's nothing wrong with it, but it seems to just go on a bit, doesn't it? Not too exciting.

Union Chapel how i love you - how i hate you.

Large chunks of that were magical - a solo encore of Shirin and Pocketful of money especially.

But from where i was sitting some songs were just trashed by the drum sound echoing around - at times it sounded like a marching band were going past outside.

Oh i wish your Drummer was silent Jens

Yeah agreed, the acoustics were pretty bad in there last night. I think I actually preferred The Blow, who was brilliant. The last 30 mins was great though.

Oh, he was magical in Manchester. Really suited the Deaf Institute, and he appeared to have a really great time.

THEN

he trotted across the road and played in Sand Bar to about 30 people. I was sat at his feet, it was amazing. Also gave him a copy of the new issue of Pull Yourself Together (that has an interview with him in) which he said smelt really nice. Swoon.

I was totally charmed and thrilled by Mr. Lekman on Tuesday night. I wasn't all that excited for it because I've been overwhelmed and overloaded with pop things lately but I shouldn't have been so jaded. He's always a captivating person and performer and he didn't let me down. When he asked us to get up and dance (and stay up!) it couldn't have come at a better point! There was a lot of joy in that room when everyone got up and it just erupted. I had been tired but at that point, happiness kept me going. I loved their airplane dance moves which I thought might have been relegated to past shows. And when Jens beckons the audience during that one soul sample. Ahh.

I got most of one of my favourites, 'Black Cab.' I really liked the sound of the new single, 'The End of the World is Bigger Than Love', live. It was swooping and soaring. He has to keep things in perspective, he says. Sound advice. :-)

I think he was selling the keys for £20 at the Manchester show. Sure if you fling him an email he'll tell you, he's usually pretty good on getting back to people!
