I've done a printable side-by-side view of the running-order again this year. Tell it your Last.fm username and it'll highlight your favourite bands for you (assuming, of course, your favourite bands are twee indie-pop and not Iron Maiden or something).

That's ace! I particularly like the last.fm integration. There's a fair few clashes with my highlighted bands but I've seen them all live before, except Antarctica Takes It!, so I won't be devestated if I have to miss a few.

The Specific Heats/Middle Ones clash on Sunday is a cruel one though.

that's very impressive, mavit

I looked mine up yesterday but it only found five bands on the line-up in my lastfm list, which means no clashes- hurrah!

Yeah, it showed me that I don't really listen to many of the bands that are playing. Score!

Last.fm will only tell me your 50 most listened-to bands, which isn't really enough to cover everything you'll want to see. Still, it should get the highlights.

Oh, and best go easy on that Indietracks compilation CD or it'll just end up highlighting everything on the bill!

I've updated this to show that Tender Trap are now headlining the shed on Saturday.

Hi,
Thanks for your work on clashes etc, I will try to utilise it before Friday. Sliiightly related to this I hope, I have a question: Is 'indoor' close to 'the church', ie within a few minutes or seconds of walking? Also is indoor and outdoor stages close by? It's just that if church and indoor are some way apart, the near-clashes I see are going to be serious clashes...
Indietracks homepage says festival site layout will be posted shortly, but its a few days out from it and I cannot see anything of that nature on the site.
Thanks anyway, FinchleyTed - new to it this year

Don't worry, all stages are very close to each other.

It's also worth bearing in mind that things tend to change around a bit on the day - bands are moved to different stages and sets overrun. Not in a bad way; I'm just saying don't fret too much if something looks like a clash at the moment.

All of the stages are very close, although a level-crossing separates the church and the outdoor stage from the indoor stage and the trains.

Your main problem is getting into the church. You need to be there well in advance if you want a pew.

Hi,
Thanks for replies - Joanny: noted on closeness, ok good good to know distance isn't a problem thank you.

Colin - Ok noted too that swapping around and overruns can occur: it looked pretty militarily tight there but if it also (enjoyably) succumbs to overruns and the timetable drifts a bit like all the rest, then that would seem more normal and usual. Also it looks like one can just about see if what you are after is coming on on the Outdoor if you happen to be inside the other too, so that might help if you have a clash that way.
Yeah I wasn't looking forward to making a Solomon's Choice between say Specific Heats and Socialist LP, or Blanche Hudson and the Millipedes or Burning Hearts and The Smittens, so if one or both of the clashes slip in the right way then problem solved yeah.
Then again, if one or more slip the wrong way against each other, then the chance of seeing a bit of both might disappear altogether... Actually, I'm confusing myself here as well: let's hope for the best and come to it when the issue actually arises...

Mavit - noted too on likely need to Queue for Pew: hmm well I don't mind standing, and standing at the back, if things are loud enough, but if the church is usually going to be very full and the sound isn't strong enough / good enough at the back, then it sounds like one has to favour the other two stages, even though some of the highlight acts are starring in the church one - or am I overegging the issue here too?
Thanks again

If there's a God, he won't let a Smittens / Just Joans clash happen even in case of overruns, late, massive hangovers or earthquake. No chance.
