Aww, even though I was only there yesterday it was a stunningly lovely day. Great people, great atmosphere, great bands. It was all...great! Favourite bands were probably Mexican Kids at Home and The Just Joans, but the best bit of the day was the impromptu acoustic train platform session from the Smittens, Allo Darlin, The Just Joans and Pete Green. I couldn't take the smile off my face.

I'm incapable of describing how perfect more me this weekend was....even on a solely personal level there were so many specific oh my cripes moments, so many tears of joy.... absolutely indescribable.

Yeah, s'alright.

God, that was amazing. Early running in my favourite memory of the event: Town Bike's Smells Like B*Witched driving the product co-ordinator of one of the UK's foremost independent labels into hysterics.

Loved every second, near-enough, apart from getting lost on Friday, and turning up late for Penny Broadhurst.
MJ Hibbert's 'exciting life in rock' was funnier than most stand-up (So tell my mother that I never wrote a whack jam)
Town Bike are the best band in the world ever. EVER.
Parallelograms and Pocketbooks double bill, from behind the Merchandise stall, dancing with the aforementioned Ms Broadhurst and bemoaing whenever Trev (Lost Music) left the stall (he was our designated 'Responsible Adult').
The Good Natured in the church, that was a surprise, a really good one at that.

But mostly it was the people we met and ran about with who we'd never met before, or had only had those brief night club conversations with when it's really noisy. So, many thanks to: Penny Broadhurst, Liz School and Ryan School, Ian HDIF, Mike Slocombe, Town Bike and their gang, Pete 'Sparkly' Green, Davo with the matching Town Bike T-shirt, Stuart, and everyone who wasn't mean to us while we were DJing. Especially those of you who danced. Thanks for making it the best festival we've been to in years.

Photos soon.

I saw some good bands, I did! The most awesome were definitely The Wave Pictures, Red Pony Clock, The Smittens, The Deirdres, Darren Hanlon and Mexican Kids At Home.

Nice to see so many decent folk in one joint too. Kudos!

We had a fantastic time and it was great to meet so many people.

Bit too pissed to try and remember all the individual acts I liked but the band on the last train out of the festival rounded the festival off perfectly.

Something tells me I'm going to have a bit of a hangover in the morning :)

Sweet chicken and the waffles, I had such a brilliant weekend, it was even more brilliant than last year and my favourite bits were The Smittens which led to me inevitably falling in love with Colin Smitten, touching Russell Deirdre's hand whilst they played like he was Jesus, Red Pony Clock, the really badly parked white Ford Fiesta and Davo's fascination with it, Mexican Kids at Home, The Bobby McGee's because I love them, Armchair Cat and the Gobbly Geese, waiting 3 hours for Darren Hayman to play in the tea tent on Sunday which was all worth it when he played The Sad Witch, doing bad dancing outside in the dark, and finally the train platform on Sunday night when everyone was singing songs. It was all so perfect and lovely and gorgeous.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to be sick.

Although The Deirdres were the most fun thing in the world ever, and although Mexican Kids at Home charmed the pants off me, I think my most favourite band of the weekend were Shrag, who reminded me that you can be a bit shouty yet still be an amazing pop band.

The best thing about Indietracks - and excuse me whilst I get sickly - is that even if you wander off on your own you can still turn 'round and see a friendly face. And that's just great.

I am at work and feel like death. My insides have turned to actual poo.

I liked the Deirdres the bestest. And the Besties the deirdriest. And also the Bobby McGees and Mexican Kids at Home and the Wave Pictures and the Retro Spankies and Hayman and Brontosaurus Chorus.

Quote of the weekend: "I licked cat piss once and now I'm a pregnancy test." - JamieC

I'm looking forward to looking through my photos when I get my camera back.

Oh yes. Brilliant. His voice is just as good live as on record and not overawed by size of venue. I bought the album straight afterwards I was THAT impressed.

i somehow managed to miss both the bobby mcgees and the retro spankees and i have no idea how. sad about missing the manhattan love suicides as well..

highlights were definitely shrag, lichtenstein, mexican kids and home and the deirdres. and darren hayman in the tent playing sad witch. and darren haymans comedy running.

super weird seeing so many faces i recognised in one place.

i think i fell asleep/passed out in the car last nite, and this morning i felt so rough i have just had to go out and find a massive greasy breakfast sandwich.

im officially all festivalled out for 2008.

I saw loads, missed loads, met some incredible people and had an amazing time. I took photos, but not that many as I was too hot to think about cameras most of the time:

I had a brilliant time (until I got tired and cranky on Sunday night). My bestest things were Harvey Williams singing Anorak City, Darren Hayman's dog, the Parallelograms and also the Deirdres were lovely. And seeing all friends I haven't seen since moving back to Sweden!
