That was such a BRILLIANT festival - It's partly coming back to me now! A few blurry memories…..Friday drinks and more drinks….Rob Price performing the ace “The Foolishness We Create…”.....later it got so noisy at the back with people talking (hahaha...) that I could take no more and legged it with Miss Anastasia to see the Dum Dum Girls just down the road - I may just have been craving electric guitars at that point.....chat with Dan about his Man Or Astroman influenced surf band…..Camilla djing without records…..Roque in the UK at last!.....Saturday walking in the London sunshine…..the Buffalo Bar, the Sunny Street being elegant and charming…..playing and wondering if the guitars were loud enough and cheekily turning the amp up a bit because I couldn’t hear it properly….The Garlands being proper poppy and fab……chatting instead of listening during the Just Joans…..dancing, drinking, dancing and more dancing to sets by ace Karin and Daniel…..and a Plastic Bertrand b-side! Saturday…. Plouff’s indiepop nursery rhymes….Red Shoe Diaries never sounding better…..Soda Fountain Rag - oh wow! Allo Darlin’s rocking set…the Dorotea mosh pit - jumper off and to the head to the side……enjoying two Shrag songs then having to sit down before I passed out…..Ballboy with their brilliant drummer…..dancing to Roque’s set, Marianthi’s set, Pierre’s set…...chat-chat with the PGCJ's newly installed keyboardist......Sunday…..quiz…..Rocker’s knowledge….Leaving Mornington Crescent's popduomagic with Stefan's guitar never sounding so good…....Dan's quiff making an unexpected return......Mr White Town's poignant and quite lovely songs….chat by the bar...hugs and goodbyes.....missing the main courses and the mouchak because of a five hour drive home. It was an incredible four days - huge thanks to to Marianthi, Ian, Sean and John for putting it all together, making sure everything ran so smoothly - I hope your blood pressures have returned to something approaching normal. Till next year then....

I'm not sure how I forgot to mention this, but how great were Horowitz on Friday night? They're the only band I know that makes guitar shreddage acceptable.

Thanks Colin - sorry, I've only just seen this! I'll look up the definition of shreddage - is it anything to do with cabbage?

What singles Horowitz out: Me: "I enjoyed Horowitz, Pete. It was really loud - my ears'll be ringing for a few days"; Pete: "Sorry about that". I wasn't looking for an apology, but you just wouldn't get that from Anthrax. Probably.

Hahaha! I thought you about to duff me up, Paula!

Pete: you're mixing up your Moopinds and your Mimpkins, I reckon.

No, but it's similar to noodling if we're continuing the food analogy. I bloody love Horowitz.

Oh heck, so I am - my apologies to you both. I'm going blind as well as deaf.....
